Madeira Island

Palheiro Golf

Palheiro Golf offers incredible views of Funchal, about 500 meters above sea level. Located next to Hotel Casa Velha do Palheiro, its countryside, just like the hotel, is grand. The 18-hole course is surrounded by pine trees and centenary romantic gardens, scented with exotic flowers, camellias and magnolias. Tranquillity is sweetly interrupted by the chirping of the birds in the trees.

Improve your technique on the driving range or the putting green of the Palheiro Golf Academy. Take a break at “The Tea House” and indulge yourself with their homemade cakes. On the terrace of the Club-House, enjoy the views of the sea, with the deserted islands on the horizon. Relax and remember that memorable “hole in one”.

Santo da Serra Golf Club

It is one of the most spectacular golf courses in Europe. It is located east of Funchal, in Santo da Serra, a few minutes away from the Airport and offers superb views of the sea. It has 27 holes and four lakes. The “signature holes” are holes 3 and 4 of the Machico course – memorable. The “Club-House” is the ideal meeting point for a glass of Madeira wine by the end of the day. The training ground offers putting greens, chipping greens, bunker greens and also a covered driving range.

Feel the pleasure of practising golf in close contact with Madeira’s nature.
